This is the car that every BeamNG driver has been waiting for! The E TK 800 hatchback is now available in several new hybrid models. That's right, a real hybrid vehicle in BeamNG! This means instant electric torque, automatic engine start and stop technology, and regenerative braking in your favorite driving simulator.
This new ETK800 configuration is built on the same hybrid powertrain system as my Hybrid Citybus mod. It uses the same code and parts, just configured for a sports hatchback, not for a huge bulky bus. As with most hybrid cars, it provides purely electric movement below a certain speed, while the engine stops completely when it is not necessary. Three hybrid models are available for the ETK800: 854eh "Eco Hybrid", 856sh "Sport Hybrid" and 856rh "Race Hybrid".
Hybrid variants of the ETK800 also include a customizable hybrid dashboard! The tachometer needle will move from "Off" to "Ready" when the car is turned on and will remain in the "Ready" state whenever the engine is stopped but the car is still turned on. The efficiency sensor under the tachometer has been replaced by a power/regeneration sensor showing the power used or obtained as a result of acceleration or regenerative braking. There is also an "EV" icon that lights up whenever the car is turned on but the engine is turned off, and a battery charge indicator between the speedometer and tachometer that shows the current state of charge of the hybrid battery.
All models are also capable of moving at higher speeds (for short distances) in a "purely electric" mode, similar to a city bus. This "EV" mode can be switched by pressing "E" on the keyboard. Like a city bus, the car includes a "battery charging" mode activated by Shift+E, which will use the engine to charge the hybrid battery more aggressively when the car is stationary or moving.

To achieve the best results during drag racing, it is recommended to charge the battery sufficiently and turn on the manual start control while holding the gas and brake pedals at the same time. The engine will start and gain a sufficient number of revolutions, while charging the battery a little more. Start the car when it is ready by releasing the brake pedal. The engine will increase revs shortly after starting to help the electric motors achieve maximum acceleration power.

If you're one of those people who remembers their carbon footprint (who wants to pollute the gorgeous BeamNG maps?), you'll be glad to know that the standard 854eh Eco-Hybrid expends over 40 miles per gallon of driving. around town! the 856sh Sport-Hybrid consumes about 30 miles per gallon if you remember acceleration and braking, and the 856rh Race-Hybrid will even get a decent 12-15 miles per gallon on the track, but again, who counts miles per gallon during races?
