Mod truck AEC Matador for Spintires: MudRunner Matador was developed on the basis of a 4-ton truck company Hardy Motors and FWD, in the early 30s. In 1932, Hardy Motors was acquired by AEC. In 1937, the Matador 853 with a gas engine appeared. In 1938, the Ministry of War placed an order for 200 vehicles for use as a medium truck, and the first prototype was delivered on January 9, 1939. The first production car with a diesel engine was delivered in November 1939. Designed as a medium artillery tractor (Medium Artillery Tractor), it was used to tow 5-inch guns. Matador had many modifications: with installed generators and adapted for transporting 25 pound guns. An armored command vehicle was also produced. From 1937 to 1945, about 10,000 units were produced. In the British army, Matador was used until 1970. Features of the mod: Credits: yansors |
