Mod UNIT CONVERT V0.0.0.5 BETA for Farming Simulator 2022
ChangeLog v0.0.0.5 BETA:
Added cubic yards as the default volume unit for non-liquid/grain/piece filling types.
When you select larger units of measurement , they are now displayed before smaller
ones . Example: pounds > tons now tons > pounds.
All of this can be changed using xml configuration
files. Fixed an issue where some vehicles lost selected units of measurement under certain conditions
. This mod expands the possibilities of converting units. FS22. It doesn't change any internal values, just how they are displayed in the game.
This is a BETA version, which means there may be (and probably are) bugs. I decided to release it in beta so that people can test it while I'm working on it. This allows me to solve any problems while writing, rather than going back and changing a bunch of code if something is wrong.
As many people know, I really don't play multiplayer and don't use a lot of mods. I check what I can, but there's nothing more thorough than when the public gets their hands on something, lol.
To switch between Imperial and Metric, simply go to the vanilla game menu and select "Miles" for Imperial or "Kilometers" for Metric. In future versions, there will be a menu item specifically designed to select the current set of units of measurement. It's just the way it is with me so far.
The mod has two key bindings. One switches between units of volume and weight, and the other switches between units of each type.
The default keyboard shortcuts are as follows (they can be changed):
Right-Ctrl + Right-Shift + ? = Volume/Weight switching
Right-Shift + ? = Select a unit
Units can be "added" from any mod or mod settings, but existing units can only be "added" from the map, this mod, the addon mod, or from your modSettings folder. The modSettings folder is ONLY used for single player play. It was designed in such a way that all information about units is the same for everyone in a multiplayer game.
Examples of settings can be found in the sdk folder, as well as in the file modDesc.xml this fashion.
Unit Convert should require almost no configuration for most people, but at the same time provide more advanced options for those who want it.
Have fun!
