If you use the Seasons mod, cattle can graze in the wild from spring to late fall, and when winter comes, you can transfer the cattle to the barn with a canopy for the barn.

You can feed animals by placing hay, fresh grass, or a mixed general diet in a feeder in the center of the pen. A water feeder is available for watering animals.

You do not need straw to keep animals clean. Cattle in the pen also do not produce manure, liquid manure or milk.
