The legendary car that brought Mazda the first victory in Le Mans for the Japanese manufacturer
Produced in 1991 as a variant of the original 787, 787B is equipped with a 4-rotor Wankel rotary engine producing 700 hp. It weighs 2,070 pounds, and was specifically designed for the Le Mans 24-hour survival race. After his victory in 1991, the 787B was fired after the FIA outlawed rotary engines, while the other 2 derivatives continued to be used for racing purposes.
