Nissan Qashqai (also known as Nissan Dualis in Japan and Australia) is a compact crossover launched into mass production at the end of December 2006. It was first introduced as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2004.

The car is named after the Qashqai tribe (there is also the option of reading "Qashq'i") from the Iranian province of Fars. In Australia, this car is called the Japanese domestic market - Dualis. It was replaced because Nissan was wary of reading Qashqai as a "cash cow" - a "cash cow."
