Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle manufactured by the British company Land Rover from 1983 to January 29, 2016. The model replaced the Land Rover Series (I, II, III, indicating the wheelbase in inches: 88.109), which was produced from April 30, 1948 and in its design contained obvious references to the famous American "military jeep" Willys MB (Willys- Overland Motors / Ford Motor Company). The new car became known as Land Rover with an indication of the wheelbase (90 (first modification) / 110/130). In 2019, a new generation of the vehicle was introduced, the Land Rover Defender (L663).
