Named after the French legendary driver Pierre Veyron, winner of the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2010 Top Gear and Robb Report awarded the Car of the Decade award to the Bugatti Veyron and the Grand Sport, respectively. The Super Sport modification broke the world speed record in 2010 and became the fastest production car in the world. Veyron production has now been completed, with a total of 450 vehicles sold: 300 coupes and 150 roadsters. Its successor is the Bugatti Chiron, officially unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
