MOD SUZUKI SX4 FOR CAR MECHANIC SIMULATOR 2018

At the beginning of the 21st century, Suzuki continued its assault on European markets with might and main, and one of the main footholds for this assault was the Magyar Suzuki plant opened in 1991 in the Hungarian city of Esztergom. The brand initially specialized in small models that fit perfectly into European realities, and in the Old World both small cars and compact SUVs, which became the face of the brand, flew like cakes. And naturally, the company could not miss the crossover boom that had begun in the world.

Italdesign and Maestro Giugiaro were chosen as partners for the development of a new car in this segment. Together, the car was created, presented on December 1, 2005 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Well, in the spring of 2006, its European premiere took place at the Geneva Motor Show. The novelty was named SX4, where the letter S stands for Sport, the letter X stands for eXtreme, and the number 4 stands for four seasons of the year or 4 driving wheels.

The production of the car was established in Japan and Hungary, and then in India, at the Maruti Suzuki plant. By the way, a third of the production volume of the plant in Esztergom was the twin brother of the SX4 - Fiat Sedici.

The relatively small ground clearance (170 mm for front-wheel drive and 190 mm for all-wheel drive versions), as well as a solid front overhang, did not allow counting on overcoming any noticeable off-road obstacles. However, the car was distinguished from the usual road "hatches" by a high body silhouette with a vertical seating of the driver and passengers, as well as their placement in an "amphitheater" (the second row is located significantly higher than the first). In 2007, a variant with a sedan body appeared, designed to please the tastes of buyers in those countries where drivers prefer three-volume bodies (for example, in China), as well as those who need a larger trunk.

Initially, the car was equipped with two versions of gasoline engines (1.5 liters, 98 hp and 1.6 liters, 107 hp), as well as a 1.9-liter Fiat DDIS diesel engine. In the US market, the car was equipped with a more powerful two-liter power unit with a capacity of 143 hp. Together with them, a five-speed "mechanics" or a four-speed "automatic" could work. In Russia, only one version of the engine was officially offered, a 1.6-liter gasoline "four" with a VVT-i variable valve timing system and a power of 107 hp, and at first only front-wheel drive cars were equipped with an automatic transmission.

In 2009-2010, the model underwent a slight restyling, during which the power of the M-16A engine was increased to 112 hp. "Japanese" and "Hungarian" model 2010 can be distinguished by the antenna mount on the roof: in the former it is always in front. In addition, the bumper on them is identical to the previous modification and differs from it only in a large-mesh grille.

Sales of the first generation SX4 in Russia continued until 2014. However, the generational change took place back in 2013, and for some time both models were sold in parallel. To avoid confusion, the first generation began to be called the SX4 Classic.
